We’re driving along. The road ahead goes from well paved tarmac to rocky and rutted so the guy driving, just like almost everyone else, swerves across the median into the oncoming lane that is well paved. Shortly thereafter we pass this women, and the guy driving says simply, “that woman is sitting there every day.” He could have said it in German to his colleague, but he said it in English so I’d understand. And as you see, cars and trick go bouncing past her. Kicking up dust. – 06 September, Western Kabul
